Welcome to Worlds Between Studio

Where nature, memory, and meaning converge.

Worlds Between Studio is the creative home of multidisciplinary artist Lerae, whose work spans taxidermy, entomology, fur, wet specimens, sculptural homewares, and ceremonial objects. Every piece is handcrafted in Brisbane with intention, integrity, and deep reverence for the natural world. These are not just art pieces – they are stories, relics, and connections to the wild and the unseen.

Through sustainable sourcing and mindful artistry, Lerae preserves what might otherwise be lost. Animals, bones, insects, hides, and found objects are transformed into vessels of remembrance, ritual, and reflection.

Meet the Artist

Lerae is an artist of preservation, a crafter of stillness, and a storyteller of the natural world. With a background in fine arts, natural sciences, and textile work, she brings a rare blend of anatomical understanding and artistic expression to her creations.

Whether working with fur, bone, horn, glass, or crystal, Lerae honours the life of each creature and object she handles. Her process is grounded in slowness, respect, and connection. Every piece that leaves her studio holds the imprint of care, ritual, and a deep love for the cycles of nature.

Ethically Sourced. Lovingly Made.

Every material Lerae uses is ethically sourced and thoughtfully chosen. Animals are never harmed for art. Instead, she works with wildlife carers, ethical breeders, vintage sources, and conservation-minded suppliers to honour life lost naturally.

Each creation begins with intention – whether it’s a fox tail, a preserved mouse, a butterfly in flight, or a sculptural altar piece. Using traditional preservation and crafting techniques, Lerae ensures that nothing is wasted and everything is given new life with honesty and heart.
